Country's Leading Protein Processor

When we began advising one of the country's largest sandwich steak processors, it was already successful and growing, but was rapidly outgrowing its organization and infrastructure. It was also faced with the challenge of redeeming minority shareholders. We advised the company on the shareholder redemption and arranged financing to fund this redemption.  We then participated in regular meetings with senior executives related to defining and implementing the company's growth plan.  Ultimately, we advised on a strategic sale resulting in a very favorable exit 18 months after the start of our engagement.

Siegel Management started with this client when it was generating $6 million per year in revenue. Over the next 12 years we advised the CEO and senior team strategically, advised on 5 acquisitions as a part of its consolidation strategy, identified underwriters who successfully took the company public, became lead director on the company's board and remained in this role until the company exited in a take private transaction at a value of $1.2 billion (the value was publicly disclosed).  At the point of exit, the company had grown to become the world's largest accounts receivable management company.

We have advised a leader in both advanced spectroscopy and laser solutions - strategically and transactionally - for over a decade.  We guided our client in the definition and pursuit of its growth plan.  We also supported the company in the completion of a substantial private equity recapitalization, advised in the subsequent spinout of a therapeutic laser device business, joined the board of directors of both companies, became a shareholder of both companies and ultimately advised in the sale of the instrumentation in a cross border transaction.

Siegel Management started its relationship with a specialist in hard copy and electronic bill presentment when it had a low seven figure market value.  We supported the CEO and senior team, advised the company strategically, advised in the acquisition of two competitors and advised when it executed a private equity recap.  We then joined the board of directors and became an equity holder in the company. In its third private equity recapitalization, the company had achieved a nine figure market value and was processing over one billion invoices and letters per year.

We began advising this company when it was generating only a few thousand dollars in monthly revenue.  We offered strategic guidance, advised on the successful redemption of a minority shareholder, identified a new, key market segment for the client and then secured then company's largest customer within this segment.  This customer grew to become the company's largest customer overall.  A few years after completing a private equity growth financing, the company ultimately exited in a strategic sale for $105 million (the value was publicly disclosed).
